Melvin Jones Jr. founded Jones Wildlife & Pest Control™ in 1997. That company served the tri- state area and specialized in pest and wildlife solutions for home and businesses.
With his vision and success he spearheaded a strategic acquisition with Bug master™ Pest Control Company of Philadelphia, PA in January 2001. Merging the two companies and now with over 56 years of combined experience, expertise, service strength, and territory, their customer base increased exponentially.
The Pest Bureau, Inc. ® Pest Control is meeting the growing demand of its current clientele and the increasing demand for pest and bedbug remediation throughout the mid-Atlantic. Their service arm has now grown along the eastern seaboard servicing the hospitality, commercial office spaces, food industry, healthcare sectors, and multi-family housing industries with offices in South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
A central component of Melvin’s daily activities is the creation of customized pest management and bedbug remediation and response plans for local and regional companies. Melvin work with a vast of industry groups in identifying their unique challenges and develop their customized response plan to include: the roles of key company personnel, expectations for the pest vendor, in house capabilities, risk assessment and management, documentation and training materials required to ensure that the plan is sustainable.
Recognized as an emerging talent in the pest management industry, Melvin was recruited to give seminars for apartment associations, public housing authorities, municipalities and the national pest management association.
